The soccer game playing was Bennion Bobcats vs Granite Park Grizzlies.  Boys are playing at Pal boxing center and girls are playing at Bennion Middle School. Bennion’s team were all ninth graders and Granite park were seventh graders and eighth graders, but it’s not that big of a difference. Bennion’s boys soccer team won Granite parks team 8:2, 8 for Bennion and 2 for Granite park.

In Granite park, one of the goals was made by eighth grader, Deangelo Valerio, and the other score was from a corner kick by 7th grader, Yusuf Hussein.

“Our teamwork was good, but we will do better in the next few games,” said Ben Walambo.

Bennion and Granite park both were playing their hardest and had very good offense and defense.  Granite park’s girls soccer team won Bennion’s soccer team by 2:0, Granite park 2 and Bennion 0. The goals for granite park were made by Gabriela Mendoza and Hannah Brito. Both girl’s and boy’s soccer team in both schools had really great teamwork. A lot of people saw great teamwork.

Ms. Graybill, Ms. Bowers, and Ms Gaitan were really nice and cheered for both teams. Lots of Granite park people showed up at Pal Boxing Center and a lot of people at Bennion. A bunch of people were cheering for both teams.

Both teams showed great sportsmanship and shouted each other teams at the end.  Try and go to one of the soccer games and show great sportsmanship.

Abdi, I am so proud of you for writing this article and publishing it so quickly! Well done! Your Headline is catchy and your picture captures the intensity of the play! You have a gift for interviewing! It was fun watching you get in with the team and talk with the players. Keep up the good work. What’s your next article about?

One recommendation for next time – have someone proof read your article before publishing. They can help check your capitalization.

I have traveled to all the teams’ away games so far to support them, and I have been impressed with their athleticism and talent. Our school is playing schools with ninth graders, and we are competing well with them. I am proud of our student athletes and all the improvements they are making. Keep up the good work! And good story, Abdirahman!

Very well written Abdi! I have had the opportunity to watch our All-stars play this year. We have a good group of kids who are very athletic, who have shown great sportsmanship and are having fun. You have captured all of these qualities in your article and photos taken. Keep up the good work Abdi. And keep up the good work grizzles ! 🙂

Both the boys and the girls played exceptionally well, especially for it being the first time playing together. This is a well-written article, and the pictures are fantastic! My compliments to the young journalist.

Are you sure the girls won their game? I thought they lost. I could be wrong, but you might want to fact check that final score.
